Soft Cocoon

Find the strength it takes to be soft.

A long weekend to relax, to slow down and to nourish yourself as you are.

05.11. - 09.11.2026

Check in Thursday: 4:00 pm

Check out Sunday: 1:00 pm

at Friedrichshof

nestled into the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, fifteen minutes from the Melzer See.

What to expect

What if softness isn’t weakness, but strength?
In our soft cocoon retreats we create space for you to rest, to gaze inwards and to meet yourself with more honesty and care.

❋ YOGA PRACTICE

Yoga is more than just physical movement on the mat. During our retreat, you will experience yoga in different ways: physically, through a dynamic and strong morning flow to awaken your body, and more gently in the evening to calm your system. You will learn to use your breath in a mindful and supportive way, and explore the strength of your inner awareness. All levels are welcome.

❋ COMMUNITY

Community is a big part of our retreats, as the people around us can gently support and hold us. Together, we create a space where it feels safe to soften, to rest, and to simply be. By sharing this time, we learn how connection can nourish us and remind us that we don’t have to do everything alone.

❋ NOURISHMENT

You’ll be served lovingly prepared vegetarian and vegan meals in organic quality: in the morning a rich, wholesome brunch and in the evening a warm, seasonal three-course dinner. Fresh snacks and drinks are available throughout the day, allowing you to listen to your body and eat in your own rhythm.

❋ FREE TIME

During the day you will have time for the things which serve you in that exact moment: like a walk in nature, to read a book, to sleep, to knit, to go into the sauna. Allow your self to be in the moment and to enjoy whatever makes you happy.

The Retreat Location - Friedrichshof

Held by the quiet beauty of the Mecklenburg Lake District,
this is a place to soften, slow down, and simply be. A space that gently holds you like a cocoon.

The house itself is calm and minimal, filled with natural light and a sense of clarity. Warm materials, open views, and carefully designed spaces create an environment that doesn’t overwhelm but gently holds.

The light-filled main house opens into a green garden, with a spacious living and dining area for shared meals and quiet moments. A bright, 90 sqm practice room invites us to practice Yoga with the view into the wide nature, while the sauna with garden views offers deep relaxation.

Surrounded by forests, fields, and lakes, nature becomes part of the experience whether through quiet walks, bike rides, or time on the water.

A place to soften.
A place to simply be.

This weekend doesn’t ask anything from you.
It simply offers a space for you to soften, to unfold, and to reconnect with what is already there.

Yoga teacher Kira Ernst

Your hosts: Kira & Sophie

We are Kira and Sophie, two yoga teachers and friends who found each other through a yoga teacher training in 2023.

Sophie brings her knowledge of the body as an osteopath and yoga teacher, holding space with precision, warmth, and deep anatomical care. Kira weaves together movement, nervous system reset and a lifelong love of the natural world.

We are weaving our passions together with the believe that real rest is a radical act, and that nature is the finest teacher of all. Together, we create soft cocoon. This year is already the second edition of our soft cocoon retreats.

Feedback from last year

  • “It was wonderful, and if you do it again next year, I’d love to come along again!”

    Ella

  • “Thank you so much, this weekend will stay with me for a long time and remain a fond memory.”

    Katharina

  • "That was a truly wonderful retreat. It was clear that you put a lot of heart and effort into organizing it. The time away with you gave me rest & support, and I felt very comfortable in my cocoon."

    Katja

  • "I thought the balance between the activities was just right. Above all, I loved that you kept emphasizing that every session is optional and that you should really only do what feels right for you at the moment. At retreats I’ve attended in the past, I often felt like I had to participate in all the activities even when I didn’t feel like it or just wanted to rest. You really took that pressure away and made the whole experience much more relaxed. “

    Tereza

  • “Everything was so cozy, lovely, delicious, harmonious, and uplifting.”
